BoaterSkills.ca’s professionally certified instructors are available by appointment to come to your boat and teach essential operator skills. Our Boat Handling Instruction clinics are perfect for new boaters and for operators looking to improve or develop new boat handling skills.

PLEASE NOTE: Boat handling lessons are dependent on fair weather forecasts. Clinic dates are subject to change after booking should weather become a concern.
Joystick maneuvering is one of many skills we teach.
Level 1 (Beginner and above)
Includes docking and close quarters maneuvering, open water operation and navigation. Additional training may include boat launching and reloading, electronics.

Level 2 – Additional skills development
Raise your boat handling skills to the next level with additional docking skills development, anchoring, and man-overboard procedures.

- Rate: $499 (additional instructor mileage fee may apply (first 50km free)

Additional Information
♦ Instructor mileage fee may apply. BoaterSkills.ca instructors are available to travel to locations within a 2-hour drive of their location to provide instruction on your boat. An instructor mileage fee of .55/km may apply ( first 50km free). Mileage fees are calculated and explained prior to booking.
♦ BoaterSkills.ca does not provide the boat for training. We teach how to operate YOUR boat safely and confidently. We bring the training to you.
♦ All operators must have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card or other Transport Canada accepted form of competency to operate the boat.
♦ Students must wear a Canadian approved flotation device during training.
♦ Safe Boater Endorsement Certificate. You may qualify to receive Marine Insurance Discounts with our training! Read more.
