Online ROC-M Radio Course (Zoom)

To sign up:
Step 1: Register online and select course date and exam date/time
Step 2: Select Mail or Pickup your ROC-M Study Guide
Step 3: Take the two online sessions
Step 4: Attend the in-person Exam session at our BoaterSkills.ca Training Centre (COVID-19 Safety Protocols followed)

NOTE: Student must have a strong internet connection with a webcam and microphone

COURSE MATERIALS: The ROC-M Study Guide can be picked up at our Port Credit Harbour Marina’s security office or mailed to you provided there is sufficient delivery time with Canada Post (minimum 7 days prior to course starting date).

The ROC-M Exam is written in-person at the BoaterSkills.ca Training Centre, Port Credit Harbour Marina with CVOID-19 Safety Protocols strictly enforced (contact us for details).
Students must schedule a one-hour exam time when registering.
5-6pm; 6-7pm; 7-8pm; 8-9pm

Maritime Radio Course

To operate a VHF radio you must have an ROC-M certificate (Restricted Operator’s Certificate – Maritime) – its the law.

This Maritime Radio Course teaches emergency radio procedures and every day operating techniques. Learn about channel frequencies, the phonetic alphabet, procedural words and phrases as well as Digital Selective Calling (DSC) and the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System (GMDSS). This two-day course includes the exam.
